What Data We Collect and Why

Orders and Checkout
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, billing address and shipping address. This information is used solely to process and fulfil your order. Guest checkout is available, and you are not required to create an account to make a purchase.

Account Creation:
If you choose to create an account, your name and email address are stored in your user profile. Rather than storing a password directly, we use a secure setup link sent to your email address to authenticate your account. You can view, edit or delete your personal information at any time by logging into your account. Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

Contact Form
When you submit a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry and is not stored beyond what is necessary to do so.

Product Reviews
If you leave a review for a product, your display name and review content will be publicly visible on that product page. We collect this information solely to help other customers make informed decisions. Your email address is collected as part of the review process, but is never displayed publicly.

Newsletter
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is collected and managed via Mailchimp, a trusted email marketing platform that complies with CASL (Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation). Subscribing to the newsletter is entirely optional and completely separate from placing an order. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email. Your data will be removed from our mailing list shortly after you unsubscribe.

Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through WooCommerce Payments, which is powered by Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also available at checkout as express payment options, both processed through Stripe’s shared infrastructure. We do not store any payment information on this website. All payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is bound by strict financial data protection regulations and is trusted by millions of businesses worldwide.

Shipping
To deliver your order, your name and shipping address are shared with Canada Post. Canada Post handles this information in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable Canadian regulations.

Cookies
This website uses cookies to support basic functionality, such as maintaining your session when you log in and remembering items in your cart. No personal data is stored in these cookies beyond what is necessary for the site to function. If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

Embedded Content and Third-Party Services
This website does not embed third-party content such as videos or social media feeds. However, third-party services, including WooCommerce Payments (Stripe) and Mailchimp and Canada Post, may set their own cookies or collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies when you interact with their services through this site.

How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law.

• Inactive accounts: 12 months
• Pending orders: 30 days
• Failed orders: 30 days
• Cancelled orders: 3 months
• Refunded orders: 6 years (as required for tax and accounting purposes under Canadian law)
• Completed orders: 6 years (same reason)

Newsletter subscriber data is retained for as long as the subscription is active and deleted shortly after unsubscription.

Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, and request that your data be deleted where we are not legally required to retain it. If you have an account on this site, you can request an export of your personal data or ask for it to be erased by contacting us directly. Please note that data we are required to keep for legal, tax or accounting purposes cannot be removed. This includes completed and refunded order records, which are retained for 6 years as required under Canadian tax law.

Where Your Data Is Stored
This website is hosted and operated in Canada. Data processed by third-party services such as Stripe and Mailchimp may be stored on servers outside of Canada, in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
